Dealing With System 32 EXE Trojans

If you have find a process on your computer under the name system32.exe it is a Trojan and should be disabled immediately, and you should take necessary steps to remove this file from your computer.
You can check if this process is running on your computer by clicking Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the task bar and go to the processes tab, if you find the system32.exe process your computer is infected.
To remove it is recommended you update and run your antivirus application and use it forcefully remove the Trojan.
If your antivirus is unable to detect it you can attempt to remove it manually.
How to Manually Remove System32.exe
Bring up the Task Manager by clicking Ctrl+Alt+Del, go to the Processes tab and look for the process system32.exe, highlight and click End process to disable this process.
Next you will need to delete the actual file so browse to C:\Windows\System32 and look for the file system32.exe in this folder, it may also be hiding in C:\Windows or a subfolder of C:\Program Files.
When you find it simply delete it, if the file cannot be deleted it is locked and you will need to use an antivirus application to remove it.
Cleaning up the Leftover Registry Files
System32.exe writes to the registry to be able to run every time you start Windows, and after you have deleted the executable for the Trojan the registry entries it created will attempt to run system32.exe every time you start Windows, thus prompting an error message.
To get rid of these corrupted entries you should run a registry cleaner and have it remove the entries automatically.
