Instructions to Fix iexplore EXE Application Error

Tested Adware & Spyware Free
Iexplore.exe is the executable that runs Internet Explorer web browser from Microsoft. Basically, it allows users to connect to the internet and read web pages.
How to fix iexplore.exe errors
When you run Internet Explorer, it may suddenly stop responding or shut down and you are presented with the following error message:
"Iexplore.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Error Description
This error is commonly caused by one of the following Browser Helper Objects (BHO):
- Buyers Port
- Morpheus
- Morpheus Shopping Port
- WURLD Shopping Community
Additional, being logged on to Windows using a limited user account, the BHO’s will attempt to modify registry entries and system files. Because the user account has limited rights, the BHO’s is unable to access these files and will cause Internet Explorer to stop responding and crash.
Solution
The best way to resolve this issue is to remove these BHO’s from your computer, if you are not sure which one is causing the error you should remove them one by, or just remove all of them altogether.
Deceptive Malware Infections
Sometimes malware can infect your computer and hide by taking the names of other healthy processes, iexplore.exe being very famous because just about any Windows user has this file, so it can easily avoid detection by using the same or a similar name.
An early warning sign is if you notice a high CPU usage by the iexplore.exe process when you check the Task Manager.
First of all, click Ctrl+Alt+Del together to bring up the Task Manager, navigate to the Processes tab and look for the process iexplore.exe, if you see more than one instance running, or it is there even if Internet Explorer is not running, there is a good chance you have been infected with malware.
Additionally, if you right click and click Open File Location, this will take you to where the iexplore.exe file is located; by default it should be located in the following folder.
C:\program files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
If it is located in a different location, it can be safe to assume you have a malware infection.
Nobody wants malware on their computers because they will mostly have very bad intentions, so you should download the latest definitions for your antivirus and run a full system scan to identify and remove the threat, for further protection you should also have a good anti-spyware application, like SpywareCease installed.
Having good malware protection does not always guarantee you will be safe from infections. Exercise caution when surfing the internet and avoid dodgy sites and untrusted download sites.
Additionally, you should download Registry Easy and perform regular registry scans, this software will keep your computer in top shape by deleting unneeded and corrupted system files, remove system errors and help increase overall system performance.
